IVF IUI Acupuncture Support Appleton WI | Dr. Pamela Kososki
IVF & IUI Support — Appleton, Wisconsin

Your IVF clinic does one thing.
We optimize everything around it.

Acupuncture alongside IVF and IUI improves ovarian response, supports implantation, reduces the stress of the process, and helps your body do its part. This is integrative care, not alternative care.

How Acupuncture Helps

Working alongside
your protocol.

Acupuncture does not replace your IVF or IUI protocol. It optimizes the conditions around it. Better blood flow to the uterus. Better hormonal environment. Better stress response. A body that is in the best possible state to receive and sustain an embryo.

Research from leading reproductive medicine institutions supports acupuncture as a beneficial adjunct to ART. Pam works with your fertility clinic's schedule, timing treatments to the most impactful points in your cycle.

Key Treatment Goals

Improve uterine blood flow and lining thickness
Support ovarian stimulation response
Reduce anxiety and cortisol during the cycle
Support implantation in the days following transfer
Reduce side effects of stimulation medications
Support egg quality in the months before retrieval
Prepare the body between failed cycles
Timing Your Treatment

When to start and
how often.

I

3 Months Before Retrieval

Ideally begin treatment 3 months before egg retrieval. Sperm and eggs take 90 days to mature. This is the window where acupuncture and herbal support have the most impact on quality.

II

During Stimulation

Weekly acupuncture during the stimulation phase supports ovarian response, reduces stress, and helps manage side effects from the medications.

III

Before & After Transfer

Treatment before and after embryo transfer specifically supports uterine receptivity and implantation. Timing is coordinated with your clinic's transfer date.

IV

Early Pregnancy Support

Acupuncture continues through early pregnancy for patients who conceive, supporting the transition and reducing miscarriage risk in the first trimester.

If you are starting a cycle soon and cannot begin 3 months out, starting now is still worthwhile. Even treatment in the final weeks before retrieval or transfer has documented benefit.

Pam coordinates directly with your IVF schedule. Bring your cycle calendar to the first appointment and she will build the treatment plan around your protocol.
